Composition:

Each 1 gm contains:  Tylosin (as tartrate)…………0.83 gm

Properties:

Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic that interferes with bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to
the 50S subunit of the ribosome. Tylosin is bacteriostatic in action and has a broad spectrum of activity.
It is active against aerobic and anaerobic Gram-positive bacteria including Clostridium perfringens and
some Gram-negative strains such as Pasteurella. Tylosin has a particular action against Mycoplasma
gallisepticum S6, which is implicated in the chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in chickens and
infectious sinusitis in turkeys.

Indications:

Broiler chickens and turkeys:

• For the control of Mycoplasma synoviae airsacculitis in broiler chickens and Mycoplasma gallisepticum in broiler chickens and turkeys.
• As an aid in the control of outbreaks of necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens in broiler.

Dosage:
0.6gm of Tylomedizen / liter of drinking water for 3-5 days .
